PigEasy, LLC, a family-owned and operated company based in Templeton, Iowa, announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued PigEasy intellectual property protection in the form of Patent No. US 11,684,038 for its product, MealMeter2.0 intake monitoring dispenser.
MealMeter2.0 is a smart feeder system that uses sensors to record and track feed and water intake. Its mobile application provides real-time alerts for intake dips or irregularities. Farm workers have the flexibility to customize alert thresholds, access historical data, and choose how alerts are resolved. MealMeter2.0 enables barn staff to quickly identify and treat individual sow and herd issues.

The MealMeter feeder utilizes sows’ natural rooting movements and behaviors to dispense feed, so very little training is needed. The system encourages feed and water intake without waste in farrowing.
