Templeton, Iowa – May 29, 2019 –
PigEasy, LLC, a family owned and operated company based in Templeton, Iowa, announced the official launch of its most recent product, BrEasy targeted ventilation, a baffle that improves air quality while reducing heating costs in pit ventilated barns.
BrEasy is a sliding baffle that focuses the pit fan’s air flow to draw out the coldest and heaviest gases from right above the manure line. It is installed between the pit fan and pit wall opening. BrEasy is easily managed with a visual pit indicator and cable turn system. No modifications to the pit fan are necessary.
BrEasy creates a healthier barn environment for people, pigs and pits with a rapid ROI. How?
With a typical pit fan most hog barn operators assume the air is pulled from the pit. In fact, with a typical pit fan, air is drawn from the closest point. Thus, heavy gases remain right above the manure. This chokes off the the manure’s aerobic microbes. When you install the BrEasy with your existing pit fan, gases are pulled from right above the manure level, so the coldest, heaviest, most toxic gases are removed. Warm, ventilated good air remains in the barn. Because BrEasy generates less overall air turbulence, you have more control of the air environment at the pig level.
An Iowa State University study found that BrEasy reduces in-barn ammonia by 32%, odor by 43%. Additional trials found substantial reduction in propane use and mortalities in barns with BrEasy targeted ventilation.
In addition to BrEasy targeted ventilation, PigEasy, LLC offers a complete line of innovative products focused on increasing pig production and operational efficiency. All products are developed and used in Klocke’s own swine operation near Templeton.
